毎年恒例、今年で16度目となる「ジム・マーレイ・ウイスキー・バイブル 2020 (Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2020)」の出版がアナウンスされた。

ワールド・ウイスキー・オブ・ザ・イヤー 2020にはバートン1792蒸溜所の「1792 フル・プルーフ」が選出されている。
第2位は2017リリースが昨年の第1位に選出された「ウィリアム・ラルー・ウェラー 2018リリース」。
第3位は2017リリースに引き続き「トーマス・H・ハンディ サゼラック・ライ 2018リリース」。
シングルカスク・オブ・ザ・イヤーには台湾・南投蒸溜所の「オマー カスクストレングス バーボンカスク #11140804」が選出された。

また、ジャパニーズ・ウイスキー・オブ・ザ・イヤーにはニッカウヰスキーの「竹鶴ピュアモルト」が、ジャパニーズ・シングル・モルト・オブ・ザ・イヤーには松井酒造の「松井 ミズナラカスク」が選ばれている。
